Kyrgyzstan Engilchek Glacier & Tien Shan Mountains Camping Trek

Join Kamzang Journey’s ‘for an incredible trip through Kyrgyzstan, specially crafted by one of Kyrgyzstan’s top tour and trekking companies. Together with Central Asia aficionado Ade Summers, we have created an amazing and unique trip following some of the ancient Silk Road, trekking through some of Kyrgyzstan’s pristine and fascinating regions in the spectacular, snow-capped Tien Shan mountains, which cover 80% of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan is a country of nomads, gers (yurts) horses and eagles in the heart of Central Asia, offering largely unexplored mountainous regions, a rich culture with lots of remote, mountainous regions to explore. The Kyrgyz people have preserved their age-old traditions, including their renown hospitality, and continue their semi-nomadic lifestyles timelessly in a wide variety of landscapes. Kyrgyzstan is aptly referred to as the pearl of Central Asia, with vast steppes, open prairies, sand dunes and deserts, deep canyons, high alpine valleys, and turquoise lakes.

Join us for this wonderful journey through some of Central Asian Kyrgyzstan’s most far-flung regions!

Notes on Itinerary
Although we try to follow the itinerary below, it is ONLY a guideline based on years of experience trekking in the Himalaya. At times local trail, river or weather conditions may make a deviation necessary; rivers may be impassible, snow blocks passes, and landslides wipe out trails. The trekking itinerary and campsites may also vary slightly depending on the group’s acclimatization rate or sickness.

The Himalaya are our passion, and we take trekking seriously. Although everyone is here on vacation, please come with a dollop of patience and compassion added to your sense of adventure …

Central Asian People
Central Asia is a rough, challenging and yet sublimely beautiful land where the people have been living a nomadic lifestyle for  for hundreds of years, traveling on their horses through the vast steppes, always moving with their animals. Central Asia is the hometown of many rulers, from Attila and Timur to Genghis Khan, who unified almost all of this massive region centuries ago.
